Urban Outfitter pushing envelope only they don't get what they are pushing

" One tee reads "Mitt is the Shit" ($28); another has a photo of Mitt in black eye makeup designed to mimic a KISS shirt (discounted to $14.99); another boasts a picture of an oven mitt with an accompanying "Romney" (get it?), marked down to $17.99; and our personal fave: "2 Legit 2 Mitt" with Romney photoshopped into a pair of gold lame Hammer pants."Huffington Post
I wasn't aware that Urban Outfitters founder was a very conservative person, and known for his support of conservative causes. It wouldn't seem to match from the stores vibe. Learn something everyday

" Despite Urban Outfitters' rebellious and youthful image, Urban Outfitters founder and chairman Richard Hayne is a well-known supporter of conservative causes; Hayne, 64, and his wife have contributed $13,150 to Senator Rick Santorum's campaign and PAC over the years. " Huffington Post

I don't know how this type of publicity helps or hinders his cause, I am not a support of him, his wife espouses women shouldn't get equal pay compared to a man. Put that on a T-shirt and see what women and teenage girls think. The Dark Ages as in 1950's?

I am sure Gene Simmons doesn't mind one bit his image being used, his is a very good business man, he had made a mint out of KISS memorabilia, and has 2 healthy well adjusted kids and great supportive wife. So more power to him. Don't know his politically stance but business is business.

This just made me mad. Wrong message. Urban Outfitters target market is 12-30 year old women and older I would say b/c I am over that mark and can make lots of their pieces work for me, but this "Eat Less" crap on a already skinny girl, telling other girls to eat less is just stupid as holding a match while filling up your car. We have had such a battle to get the modeling industry along with the fashion designers to embrace all sizes and a size 2 is not realistic. Most healthy American women are a size 10 or 12. UO is targeting teens & women in the prime of discovering themselves. Many have struggled with eating disorders, being told to be smaller, their fat by the movie stars, the tv , magazines. Women are told by all sorts of media, coaches even their parents be thinner. To bad.

I do not have a problem with this, I think we are all genetically built to love whomever we love, it could be a man or a woman you just happen to fall for what you love and you should not be judged by that all all. We live in a reality that judges every wrinkle, bad outfit, bad choice, or innocent mistake, making life even harder than it already is." Let it Be" as Paul McCartney & John Lennon said "there will be an answer let it be"
"In 2008, This is Money UK reported that Hayne had "bizarre and old-fashioned" views on homosexuality.
Lest you accuse Urban of being totally partisan, they also sell a tee of President Obama "Tebowing" ($24)."   Huffington Post
Urban Outfitters seems to want some attention. They have done something completely wrong in my book. Eating Disorders are a real problem in this country and "Being thin" is way to important to many girls that want to emulate their idols. "How whoever lost 50lbs in 3 weeks, all those tabloids, Entertainment TV, and so on. It's still a clear message. Thankfully some designers have put limits to how skinny you are to walk in their shows. The Adele's, Gabourey Sidibe
Queen Latifah's break through performance in "Chicago" she has been an inspiration to us all skin, fat, tall, weird whatever, she is an amazing woman

Melissa McCarthy took physical comedy away from just men and made it her own in "Bridesmaids" a funny thing that was always expected of men but not women. I truly loved her tackling Kristen Wiig in the airplane and all her internal talent she has a long talented road ahead of her.

Octavia Spencer blew me away in "The Help" in her Oscar winning performance as a maid being treated like it's the 1800's all over again. She has power inside  her that doesn't depend on if she is skinny or not.

Beautiful plus size models looking amazing in the trends
Being skinny does not make you the bomb, perfect or happy. It's what is on the inside that will give you those things. That's why "Eat Less" is the dumbest saying I have seen in a long time. Whoever decide to go with that shirt should be fired
