Evolution of the body conscience public & the draping frenzy
A year or 2 ago, when Jason Wu, Thakoon, and Halston Heritage were making bold dresses with lots of draping, pleating with Japanese form and technique in order to create elaborate silhouettes while still keeping women thin and beautiful, the envy of all women, whom may wear these heavily constructed dresses & gowns, I have finally seen a evolution of the draped dress having some restrictions some external spanx to explain it in really basic terms.
` And now ( like we need the drum roll because only a few of us might know what happened when MiuMiu created this look for her Spring 2012 show.
A complex blue to start with, can't quite put my finger on it, the dress part, teal with robin egg or sky, then the what are we going to call it? A cross between legging and spanx for wearing on the outside like vest, tubetop, ace bandage Herve Leger onesies? I must name them soon. These accessories of clothing are going to change the way women can dress. Talk about the emergence of leggings as a must have to must put away to must have always-classic right up there with Trench coat, LBD, Crisp white collared shirt, even flats. Leggings are here to stay. Skinny jeans almost the same thing. Everyone closes their eyes taps their heels and wishes them away but it's not going to work. Girls, little girls, and older little girls want to have leggings. If you are an apple shape they are a god send. If you need big top, skinny bottoms, viola, it's there.

One little monkey
I found this shirt at a store in Bailey's Prairie, Texas and couldn't imagine how it had arrived there. I envision it's life was from the great fashion realm of Tokyo's Harajuku location and some very cute Japanese girl lost it and it found it's way to this town in Texas like the cat who went from Denver Colorado to Manhattan in 5 years and finally someone checks if it had a microchip and sure enough, the Colorado owners were contacted and got the cat back.
So I have put this shirt on ebay hoping to find it a good home. I am 6'0 with shoulders the size of Michael Phelps (swimmer too) and it's a shirt that must be styled in such a way that the physicality of the person is very important.

| Going classic Chanel, LL Bean, any classic top layer would delight me with the tee |
I love a good contradiction and so a sweet faced monkey telling me to "Spank me" has to have some thought with it's counter parts. Jeans are obviously easy to apply to this shirt with a fab button up or caplet. A micromini is another good option.

| Avery Lane also would be fab with the monkey change of color, pattern and pink with orange or black is a vibrating boundary so people would also delight in this choice as a compliment to the monkey |

Neon joins pearls, LBD's and white shirts in the hall of Classic fashion
My Ralph Lauren kitten heel patent leather shoes with neon yellow on the toe cap
So I found these Vintage Ralph Lauren shoes and went crazy seeing the neon yellow on such a classic brand and shoe. Of course my feet being the size 11+ won't fit into these beauties , they would look like taxi's on my feet. These are 71/2 cute little shoes.

and I thought of the cute outfits one could put off with these contrasting classic with that modern twist of neon yellow for someone else out there. I have them on ebay for sale. They are in good condition and will last a life time because they were made when people really made things well. I love the yellows in neon. They go great with dark gray & blacks of course.
Micheal Kors gave us the micro mini dress.

Never thought I would think of neon yellow as a wickedly wonderful addition to my own closet, but small accessories, or full on Maxi dresses are making their way to everyone's drawers. Don't be afraid, neon will be a staple in different colors and then a classic for each person and their favorite neon to accent any outfit to punch up the volume.

Holes in the creative universe
Badboy genius Alexander Lee McQueen
This is a series of events happened to me making life almost acceptably explained. Last February I woke up, read that Alexander McQueen committed suicide. I had known his ,other, whom he was very close w/ died of cancer, 2 months before. Isabella Blow another one of his supports had committed suicide a year earlier. Never having met any of these people I cried. I had feverishly bought his McQ collection from Target a year or so ago. I sat there and just cried. Such a shame, a man so brilliant, precise, eager to evolve had suffered depression couldn't take it and moved on. I had recently lost my 15 year old Black Labrador, Beetle, my BFF whom always comforted me he time had come.. It's not ironic that Alexander McQueen left his fortune to his 2 dogs. How could I not love the man. I was relieved when Daphne Guinness bought Isabella Blow's clothing collection so that it would not be without it's friends. A minor victory in the passing of these lives. The "Savage Beauty" Installation Collection at the Met this summer, attendance record broke, man from Iowa just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The last 2 days the Museum open until midnight, visitors were wrapped around the build, in the cool summer evening. It would have pleased the designer. Eric Wilson of the New York Times quoted," Ms. Verkade said he (Alexander) often complained that, season after season, he was showing his clothes to the same 700 editors, clients and buyers." Wilson continues to tell us McQueen was the only designer to put his show on a website for the masses. The demand was so high it crashed the site. This would have made Mr. McQueen thrilled to reach mainstream, and unforgettably he got this wish in deathMr. Wilson, chatted with a with a 15yr whom thought "McQueen is a household name" I wish. His is now. I wrote about him as a Picasso. A genius way too young to leave us behind. His brilliance, tortured mind, crazy precise beauty of ideas. Amy Winehouse's writing & voice, also her own fashion icon to many.
