A year or 2 ago, when Jason Wu, Thakoon, and Halston Heritage were making bold dresses with lots of draping, pleating with Japanese form and technique in order to create elaborate silhouettes while still keeping women thin and beautiful, the envy of all women, whom may wear these heavily constructed dresses & gowns, I have finally seen a evolution of the draped dress having some restrictions some external spanx to explain it in really basic terms.
A complex blue to start with, can't quite put my finger on it, the dress part, teal with robin egg or sky, then the what are we going to call it? A cross between legging and spanx for wearing on the outside like vest, tubetop, ace bandage Herve Leger onesies? I must name them soon. These accessories of clothing are going to change the way women can dress. Talk about the emergence of leggings as a must have to must put away to must have always-classic right up there with Trench coat, LBD, Crisp white collared shirt, even flats. Leggings are here to stay. Skinny jeans almost the same thing. Everyone closes their eyes taps their heels and wishes them away but it's not going to work. Girls, little girls, and older little girls want to have leggings. If you are an apple shape they are a god send. If you need big top, skinny bottoms, viola, it's there.
