Does Life Really Have Meaning?

I just found out that the universe is expanding still, quite a relief to me b/c otherwise we would be falling into the decay period, in about 20 billion years or less, when all matter we come to a slow almost grinding halt, and decay will set in. However a physics, in Hawaii, figured out how to take pictures of supernova's (Stars like our Sun) as they reached critical mass and the greatest burst of energy from them lights up the night sky like a flare on a boat in a lake. He made a program, for one of the world's most powerful telescopes in Maui, to capture these flashes of supernova light and calculate, expansion or deceleration. The data surprised all the lucky Hawaiian living physics, we are living in a expanding universe. That is the see-able universe. Another woman physics (my favorite kind) figured it out with a stick sand and the beach. If you were to draw a triangle on the beach in 90 degree angles you would have a perfect triangle. Well now take the earth. Go from the north pole, draw a straight line, down threw North America across and back up to the pole. Would these be straight lines. No, the earth curves. So she mapped light from distance stars, to see if the universe was flat, meaning that light which will not bend unless space bends, would mean our universe is still expanding. It again is still expanding. What does that mean for us. You look up, down, east, west, any which way you would like and there is an infinite amount of space out there. No know end. Why? How did this come about aside from the big bang. What was the big bang. I mean I know chemically what it was but why? Why are we here? Young people would answer that in a quick succession of easy reasons, Love, learning, expanding our own minds, experience time, all good answers however not good enough for me. What are we doing? In the time man and woman has been on this rock, we haven't even perfected war but we still keep trying, (a huge waste of time & energy, lives, money, resources, should I go on) we have been destroying the only known planet we can survive on, like they these perfectly places orbits with an atmosphere, Magnetic Electrical protective circle around the planet, to help protect us from the Sun's harsh solar radiation, without it, we'd be fried potatoes within seconds and die. There is a supernova 8 light years away, getting ready to have it's final hurray, then burst and turn into a black hole, only problem with this, if the Gamma rays from that supernova reach earth which is a possibility, then Adieus Much o Earth o. Gamma rays are one of the deadliest types of radiation known to humans, it will strip away the atmosphere, the elector-magnetic field as we will all become toasted humans. in seconds.

Again, why are we here. To Go through High School that pretty much sucks for everyone?
