Here we are in October, after a month of shows, looking towards Spring, word on the streets, camera on the streets has bloggers at a all time low. when you have so many people, twittering, instagraming, G+, tumblr, facebook, where do you go? I have a stack of magazines I still need to read. The most important to the least on the stack. The styling, hair, and colors. Got it. Seeing every show allowed me to focus on what the designers are trying to pull out of the hat. Some so good you cry, some like old friends, sending more of what they have done best for years & year does best in what seemed like 1000 pieces, needed a good friends tap on the shoulder & tap on the shoulder, you need to edit this one. Thanks to the un-detoured Cathy Horyn, she says the things we all think. Let the designers pout, have a good cry, she is right. They know it. There will always be a critic amongst us.Some are there for the right reasons some because they want to disassemble others to feel happy.  As she is and so I am too, I want to see the new thoughts, ideas, innovation of what fashion is evolving into. The express of it's own self has been doubted, over done, and the red carpet is a Catch22. Rachel Zoe has made it her personal walk of shame I mean fame. No I mean shame. I am so tired of everyone looking like she dressed them all, no individuality. She is not the only one. There are countless others whom play it safe so that, 4 or 5 people and I think I have to include Joan Rivers and her awful daughter Melissa don't say a mean thing about them. Who are they to judge. I can't believe I even mention them here. Ultimately it's the public's need for who wore it worst even amoung celebrities offspring that we have come to this strange time in fashion. Here is to it getting better & the norm gracefully bowing out forever, and the true lovers of fashion and it's history and future make their stand, step over the cookie cutting machines, the fashion police and beautifully moving on.
